FORGIVENESS Is Key By:L-Faith

 

Mark 11:25- And whenever you stand praying, forgive, if you have anything against anyone, so that your Father also who is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses.”

    Praise God!! It's Wednesday!! Just another day that God woke me up and started me on my way Amennn!! Ok, Today I want to talk about forgiveness.  I believe that God gave us a gift of forgiveness but we don't use that gift. I heard Bishop Sheard one Sunday morning and he said "How come we are Christians but don't take gifts from the God we praise?". So I ask myself that question every day. I come to figure out that my problem Is not taking the gift, my problem Is that I don't forgive easily. Let me break it down a little bit. If a person hurt you so bad back then or even recently and they walk Into the same room as you and your whole mood change that person have so much power over how you feel. They have that control because you haven't forgiven that person. I learned that forgiveness goes a long way. I've had a couple of experiences where I always just hold onto a grudge to the point It was affecting me mentally.  So what I did was start forgiving and day by day I start seeing new results within me. Th thing that I did was not forgive the person for the thing they did but I forgave the person for ME. Once you start forgiving yourself all that Pain, Hurt, Abuse, and sorrow just disappears by the grace of God. This Is why still to this day I thank God for the gift of forgiveness so I can move on and not hold on anymore.
